Hi there,

Thank you so much for your interest in EzieR!

I wanted to take a moment to share a little about myself and the journey that led to the creation of EzieR.

As the founder of EzieR, I'm passionate about supporting small businesses. I have a degree in company law and history, which has provided a strong foundation for my career in employment relations and human resources. I am also currently studying a Cert III in Investigative Services.

My professional journey began with an incredible recruitment team at St John Ambulance WA, which solidified my desire to work with businesses that give back to the community. This passion led me to the Department of Housing, where I had my first human resources role. During my time in the public sector, I discovered the fascinating world of industrial and employment relations.

Seeking to expand my knowledge, I joined the advice team at Employsure. I loved the challenge and the variety of each client interaction. Helping small business owners ensure they were paying their employees correctly or navigating tricky employee situations was incredibly rewarding. I received a promotion to an advice services team leader role and moved from Perth to Melbourne in late 2019 (great timing, I know!).

After over four years helping businesses manage underpayments after they had occurred, the opportunity to tackle this issue head-on at Xero was too good to pass up. In my role there, I worked with software developers to build award-compliant time and attendance software. Later, I joined Toll Group in a senior business partnering role to broaden my experience in highly unionised industries and deepen my knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation.

On a personal note, I was born in the UK but grew up in Perth (north of the river, for those familiar with the area) with my parents and two older brothers. I moved to Melbourne in 2019, planning to stay for just 12 months. Four years later, I'm still here and have no plans to return to WA. I have two adorable fur-babies; a dog (Dash) who was a foster fail and a cat (George) who was, and still is, in lots of ways completely feral. When I'm not refereeing wrestling matches (which George always wins), I enjoy drawing, mixed media art, traveling, and spending time with friends.

EzieR is the culmination of my passion for helping small businesses, my love for employment relations, my creativity, and the experiences I've gained over more than a decade in the industry. I understand that running a small business is tough, and employment law can be confusing. That's where EzieR comes in.

Let us make life easier for you by doing the things that we know and love, so you can focus on what you know and love.

I look forward to speaking with you soon!

Best regards,
